Betty and Wilbur Davis State Park offers visitors spectacular views from atop a hill in the southern part of Otsego County.  The 229-acre property is mostly a forest of hardwoods, but also has two ponds.  A must-visit for birdwatchers!

Fishing on Gilbert Lake

Known mostly for its trout, Gilbert Lake has provided some of the most impressive largemouth bass over the past several years.  It is stocked annually with approximately 700 rainbow trout (8-15" in length).  Ice fishing is prohibited, and has a daily limit of 3 trout.

Glimmerglass State Park overlooks beautiful Otsego Lake, nicknamed "Glimmerglass" by James Fenimore Cooper in his Leatherstocking Tales.  Open year-round, each season brings a multitude of outdoor recreational activities for visitors to the park.  During your visit, take time to tour Hyde Hall, a beautiful 50 room country house.  Please note an entrance fee may apply.

Rental facilities available includes picnic pavilion, two new conference rooms (up to 150 people).

Robert V. Riddell State Park is located off Exit 17 of I-88 near the City of Oneonta. The park consists of over 1,000 acres of agricultural fields, deciduous and coniferous forests. Schenevus Creek, a popular Class A trout stream that leads to the Susquehannah River, crosses the northern parcel of the park.

Located near downtown Oneonta, the upper level of this park can be accessed via Center Street and has a large picnic pavilion, basketball court, modern playground structure and the beautiful Applebaugh Gardens. The lower level is accessed via Spruce Street and includes a small picnic pavilion, Briggs Swimming Pool, the George Waddington Tennis Courts, handball courts, and two multi-use practice fields. Intermingled throughout Wilber Park's 56 acres are a host of quiet walking and biking trails.
