National Baseball Hall of Fame
The National Baseball Hall of Fame has created an online experience for baseball connoisseurs of all ages called Safe at Home. Located right on their site, guests can virtually explore exhibits and collections. The Museum’s Education Department has also created an experience where one can participate in virtual field trips, curator spotlights and “Voices of the Game” programs. There are also hours of free entertainment on the YouTube channel and kids’ activity downloads.
Animal Adventure Park
Animal Adventure Park has implemented some great resources to utilize right at home. They have created a livestream of April and her young calf Tajiri on their YouTube channel. You can also livestream Oliver and Johari on their giraffe cam.
Ross Park Zoo
Ross Park Zoo turns your house into a zoo! They have added some resources and virtual activities to their website called zooU. From animal crafts, science and wildlife fun to Ross Park Zoo activity sheets and their rpzTV education videos, there is a wide variety of options.
The Beekman 1802 has some new life on their grounds … baby goats! They have implemented a live baby goat cam giving viewers an opportunity to feel as if they are right in the nursery. The goat cam is on all day so you can view it whenever.
A fun and educational family experience can happen right at home through Virtual Family Learning at the Utica Zoo. No matter the age you are sure to learn something new about birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians through their animal classification activity. You can also visit the tamarins through the live camera.
Go back in time and experience the virtual tour of the Bundy Museum campus. Explore history and art virtually on their website and social media. Travel through the various campus spots: 32 Cedar St., the Carriage House Annex, Harlow E. Bundy House and Anna Palmer House.
Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute
Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute is offering a variety of different online programs. Keep art relevant in your life by virtually exploring their student art gallery, watching videos that go give in-depth insight on the Institute’s collections and check out the activities for kids.
The Farmers’ Museum
The Farmers’ Museum is full of history and fun. You are now able to bring that all home through their video series. The series offers a mix of history lessons, learning experiences, hands on activities and virtual cooking tutorials. Stay up to date on all that is going on at the Museum and maybe implement a thing or two into your at home schooling.
Fenimore Art Museum
The Fenimore Art Museum has added some fun and informational videos of new exhibits and their collections. You can really immerse yourself in the art through their virtual walk through tours, hands on at home crafts, staged reading and other virtual events that they are holding.
